Edit Repair Item
Purpose
This screen allows you to update or delete an existing repair record for a vehicle. Any changes made here will immediately update repair totals and averages.
When to Use This Page
- When correcting a repair entry
- When updating missing or incorrect information
- When removing a repair record that was entered by mistake
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | Required. A short description of the repair performed, such as Rear Axle Seals or Brake Repair. |
| Date | The date the repair was performed. |
| Vendor | The shop or provider that performed the repair. |
| Odometer | The vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the repair. |
| Cost | The total cost of the repair. |
| Notes | Optional additional details about the repair, such as parts replaced or warranty information. |

Buttons and Actions

| Save | Saves changes made to the repair record. |

| Repair History | Displays all repair records for the vehicle. |
| Delete | Permanently removes the repair record. |
Notes and Tips
Deleting a repair record cannot be undone.
Clear descriptions and notes help identify recurring repair issues.
Behavior and Calculations
Repair totals and averages update automatically after saving or deleting a repair record.
Odometer entries help associate repairs with vehicle mileage but are not required.
