Hey there. My name is Derek. I'm just a geek that likes to sling some code from time to time, and this is one of those times.

This tool was built to consolidate data tracking across four areas.

This has been a process.  I started tracking this stuff on paper, in a little notebook I kept with each vehicle.  I got done with that real quick.  Different notebooks for different vehicles, each kept with their respective vehicle.  So I moved to Excel workbook mode, and that kind of worked for awhile.  Each vehicle now had its own workbook, stored in the cloud and backed up to two other locations.  However, I found it tedious to work through entering data when I was remotely entering information on a mobile device.  Tablets weren't bad, but phones were painful.  Every time I stopped for fuel, I was back to writing the data in a notebook, then entering it to the spreadsheet when I got home.

So I started kicking around the idea of this web app.  Since I mainly used it for fuel logging (the other sections came later), I concentrated on making the fuel logging entry screen mobile friendly.  So no more notebooks.

Honestly, I am building this tool for my own use. I feel completely neutral about anyone else using it. So use it, don’t use it. Makes no difference to me. BUT, it is free, your information isn’t used, sold, or disclosed. Basically, this tool is my way of getting out of my head for a couple hours while building something useful.  If you've got any ideas for the this thing, or just want to rant about something, drop me a note on the contact form.
