Add Repair Item
Purpose
This screen allows you to record a repair performed on a vehicle. Repair records are used to track unexpected fixes and repair-related costs separately from routine maintenance.
When to Use This Page
- When a vehicle repair is performed
- When tracking the cost of fixing a problem
- When keeping a history of repair work
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | Required. A short description of the repair, such as Brake Replacement or Alternator Repair. |
| Date | The date the repair was performed. |
| Vendor | The shop or provider that performed the repair. This can be left as Unspecified. |
| Odometer | The vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the repair. |
| Cost | The total cost of the repair. |
| Notes | Optional additional details about the repair, such as symptoms, parts replaced, or warranty information. |

Repair totals and averages update automatically after a repair record is saved.
Odometer entries help associate repairs with vehicle mileage but are not required.
