Add a Purchase
Purpose
This screen allows you to record a purchase related to a vehicle that is not fuel, maintenance, or a repair. Purchases are tracked separately so you can see their total and average cost.
When to Use This Page
- When buying accessories or supplies for a vehicle
- When tracking registration fees, accessories, or other non-service costs
- When recording one-time or recurring vehicle-related purchases
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | Required. A short description of the purchase, such as Floor Mats, Registration Renewal, or Phone Mount. |
| Date | The date the purchase was made. |
| Vendor | The store or provider where the purchase was made. This can be left as Unspecified. |
| Cost | The total cost of the purchase. |
| Comments | Optional additional details about the purchase. |

Buttons and Actions

Use clear descriptions so purchases are easy to identify later.
Small purchases can add up over time, so tracking them can provide useful cost insights.
Behavior and Calculations
Purchase totals and averages update automatically after a purchase record is saved.
All purchase values are included in the vehicle overview statistics.
