Add Maintenance Item
Purpose
This screen lets you record a maintenance item for a vehicle, such as an oil change, tire rotation, or inspection. Maintenance entries help you track service history and total maintenance costs.
When to Use This Page
- When you complete routine service on the vehicle
- When you want to track how much maintenance has cost over time
- When you want a record of when a service was performed
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Description | Required. A short name for the maintenance item, such as Oil Change, Tire Rotation, or Brake Inspection. |
| Date | The date the maintenance was performed. |
| Vendor | The shop or provider that performed the maintenance. This can be left as Unspecified. |
| Odometer | The vehicle’s odometer reading at the time the maintenance was performed. |
| Cost | The total cost of the maintenance item. |
| Comments | Optional extra details about the maintenance, such as what was done or parts used. |

Use a consistent description format to make lists easier to scan later.
Adding the odometer reading helps you track when services were performed by mileage.
