Edit a Vehicle
The Add Vehicle screen allows you to create a record for a vehicle in your garage. This vehicle record is used to track maintenance, warranty information, and other details over time.
You only need to fill in one required field to save a vehicle. All other fields are optional and can be added later if you wish.
How to Use This Screen
Start by giving the vehicle a nickname, then enter as much or as little additional information as you like. When you are finished, click Save to add the vehicle to your garage.
If you decide not to add a vehicle, click Back to Garage to return without saving.
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |

| Nickname | Required. A friendly name you use to identify the vehicle. This can be something simple like My Car, Work Truck, or Truck #155. |
| Year | The model year of the vehicle, such as 2021. This helps identify the vehicle more clearly. |
| Manufacturer | The company that made the vehicle, such as Ford, Toyota, or Honda. |
| Model | The specific model name of the vehicle, such as F-150, Camry, or Civic. |
| VIN | The Vehicle Identification Number. This is a unique code assigned to the vehicle. This field is optional but useful for detailed records. |
| Purchased | The date you purchased the vehicle. This can help with maintenance history and warranty tracking. |
| Wty Date | The date the vehicle warranty expires. This lets you know when warranty coverage ends. |
| Wty Miles | The mileage limit of the warranty. For example, 36,000 miles. This is useful for knowing when warranty coverage no longer applies. |
Important Notes
The Nickname field is the only required field. You can leave all other fields blank and still save the vehicle.
You can always come back later to edit the vehicle and add or update information as needed.

This screen is designed to be quick and simple, so you can start tracking your vehicles right away without needing to enter every detail up front.
