Add a Vehicle to the Garage
Purpose
This screen allows you to add a new vehicle to your garage so you can begin tracking fuel, maintenance, repairs, and purchases.
When to Use This Page
- When adding a vehicle for the first time
- When setting up a vehicle before tracking expenses
- When creating a record for a personal or fleet vehicle
Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Nickname | Required. A friendly name used to identify the vehicle throughout the system. |
| Year | The model year of the vehicle. |
| Manufacturer | The company that made the vehicle. |
| Model | The specific model name of the vehicle. |
| VIN | The Vehicle Identification Number. |
| Purchased | The date the vehicle was purchased. |
| Wty Date | The date the vehicle warranty expires. |
| Wty Miles | The mileage limit of the vehicle warranty. |

Buttons and Actions

| Save | Saves the vehicle and adds it to the garage. |

Notes and Tips
You can save a vehicle with only a nickname and add more details later.
Vehicle information can be edited at any time.
