Add a Fuelup

The Add Fuelup screen is used to record a fuel purchase for a specific vehicle. Each fuelup helps track fuel usage, fuel costs, and overall operating expenses for the vehicle.

Once saved, this information is automatically included in the vehicle’s totals and averages on the Vehicle Overview page.

What This Page Is Used For

Use this screen whenever you:

  • Add fuel to the vehicle
  • Want to track fuel costs over time
  • Want accurate mileage and fuel statistics

Field Descriptions

Field Name Description
Date/Time The date (and optionally time) when the fuel was purchased. This is usually the day you filled up.
Units The amount of fuel purchased. Enter how many gallons or liters were added during this fuelup.
Cost/Unit The price per unit of fuel, such as cost per gallon or cost per liter.
Vendor The place where you purchased the fuel, such as a gas station. If you do not want to specify one, you can leave this set to Unspecified.
Odometer The vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the fuelup. This helps calculate distance traveled and fuel usage.
Comment An optional short note about this fuelup, such as Road trip, Towing, or High prices today.

Buttons and Actions

Button What It Does
Save Saves the fuelup and adds it to the vehicle’s fuel history.
Garage Returns to the main garage view.
Vehicle Overview Returns to the overview page for this vehicle.
Fuelup List Opens a list of all fuelups recorded for this vehicle.

Helpful Tips

Entering the odometer reading is recommended if you want accurate distance and fuel-usage calculations, but it is not required.

If you forget to add a fuelup right away, you can always come back later and enter it manually.

All fuel statistics on the Vehicle Overview page update automatically after you save a fuelup.
